Agile Testing And Test Automation Summit - IST

Global Online Live Conference
(All time mentioned in India Time Zone)

Briefly Know About This Event

Our hearts and thoughts remain with those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide. In the past months,1point21GWS has been organizing conferences on Virtual platform.

We recently wrapped up 2021 as the year of digital quality. We talked about how digital transformation is going to bring even more drastic shifts in how we do software delivery. And how your organization needs to brace up to bring agile models to work in order to release higher quality software faster through automated testing.

A key trend that will sweep over to bring economies of scale, speed and intelligence will be automated testing followed by AI. We've seen a massive movement from manual to automation in the last couple of years, as manual could not handle this scale of change. Manual testing matrices are too big to approximate manually, take a long time, and are very complex to handle for applications like Uber, Snapchat, and Twitter that are scaling at the speed of light.

Manual testing might not be able to meet the demand of a plethora of web browsers, devices, operating systems, screen resolutions, and responsive designs. And to deliver quality at the speed of digital, there will be a need to bring in the right automated testing initiatives. But automation is vast and there are several nuances to it. Which nuances will be more pronounced in 2020?

Agile Testing and Test Automation Summit will help you get industry best practices in Test Automation and the latest tools and techniques to achieve it.

X Topic Abstract

I will be speaking on the topic 'Improving Agile Team's Efficiency via TDD and BDD.'

As the adoption of agile in software develoment has increased in the past decade, we have also seen the accelerated adoption of continuous development, continuous testing and continuous deployment. This new approach in software development has made the overall development process more dynamic by giving the developers the ability to introduce new changes in the applications and prevent bugs or breakdowns from impeding the scalability of applications.

We will talk about how test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD), as test-first approaches has helped developers to produce bug free software. While we look at the difference between the two approaches, we will also explore how each one is different from the other, drawbacks and benefits of each approach. We will finally look at how these practices have improved the overall efficiency of the develpment team.

X Topic Abstract

Given the complex domain of software product development where change is the only constant, feedback loops are our friends. They enable us to sense and respond to an ever emerging landscape. The tighter the feedback loops, the better our ability to respond to change and to newly discovered information. As we focus on improving our feedback loops, we improve our ability to work on the right things, work on them in the right way and do it fast!

The Shift Left mindset is directly tied to tighter feedback loops.

Through this talk, Vinaya will share the centrality of feedback loops to Agility, What needs to Shift Right for Agility, What needs to Shift Left for Agility. As a way of tying the mindset back to action, Vinaya will also share pragmatic ways of shifting left that organizations can adopt right away!

X Topic Abstract

Knowledge work in the context of ever increasing complexity and speed of change. Organizations report me that they experience an ever increasing pressure to deliver, that the priorities keep changing and that people feel undervalued. People run around the whole day to get things foreword and at the end of the day they are exhausted and realize that they still have to start doing the stuff they planned for that day. In our new context of increasing complexity just working harder is only going to make things worse. This talk is a visual simulation of work. You will see what causes these symptoms and above all what you can do about it. Work smarter not harder.

Speaker Profile

The last 10 years of his career Jan is active as an organizational coach. He is helping organizations to deal with and even thrive in a world where complexity and the speed of change is ever increasing. The bottom-up approach usually used in agile transformations is morphing into cultural transformations. This means the whole company in all his aspects are changing. Moving from static to dynamic organizations.

X Topic Abstract

During the course of this talk, we will look at some of the customer journey snapshots and how an inconsistent digital implementation is turning out to be a landmine in auditing these journeys. We will look at how the story from the data changes drastically due to the tagging gaps. Some of the examples that we are going to see will help us understand the need of global variables while implementing these features and how they can smartly avoid the needs of complex tagging. Finally, all these questions will lead us to the million dollar question “Should we compromise on data volumes by capturing less just to keep it simple” and that’s when I will showcase you some of the solutions that are available in the existing market leading tools that will help us answer address all key business requirement questions with very minimal implementation. We will look at how having simple data layers on the site can help us tackle big business problems.

Format of the talk: This talk will be a mix of talk + use case demos. We will get into certain websites via sreensharing mode in between this talk.

X Topic Abstract

Cloud computing has a large momentum and new cutting-edge technologies are available compared to traditional on-premises architecture. Benefits are numerous and include lower upfront costs, impressive scalability, faster setup and many more. That's why a large number of projects are being migrated to the cloud. At the same time, a vast majority of new projects use cloud services. Even though cloud technology provides a lot of benefits, the challenge of testing these systems still exists, especially in testing business logic. Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft, one of the biggest cloud providers at the moment. I will share my experience in working on an Azure-based solution.
Key takeaways:
This presentation will:
