With a new era of artificial intelligence (AI) dawning upon us, it’s an incredible time for customer experience, with humongous benefits to the customer and ultrafast customer service.
As AI technology matures, forward-thinking enterprises are plugging in conversational AI in their strategic investment roadmaps to leverage it for their customer service function.
In fact, Gartner predicts that “conversational AI-first" will supersede "cloud-first, mobile-first" as the most important, high-level imperative for the next ten years.

Dinesh Chandrasekar has around 20 years of progressive Technology & Consulting experience in CRM, MDM & Digital Technologies that encompass Cloud, Analytics, IoT, Machine Learning & AI. In his current role, Dinesh heads the Solutions & Platform Innovation (SPI) group of Pactera Technologies. He was also instrumental in building CRM, MDM, Cloud, Innovation & Solution Mgt/Marketing practice @ Hitachi consulting. He spearheaded the delivery of over 70+ medium to large scale projects & solutions implementations across the globe (APAC, China, EMEA & US). Dinesh also has the penchant for innovation and instrumental in building over 20+ innovative Enterprise Tools & Solution accelerators. He has an extensive consulting experience in Banking, Consumer goods & Automotive verticals. Prior to Pactera, Dinesh worked for Hitachi, GE and Citigroup. He is an Alumni of ICFAI Business School & also holds certificate from MIT on Radical Innovation & Black belt in Innovation from Delphi Group. He was also conferred an honorary PhD (Honorius Causa) by the UoS, Kenya for his contribution to IT field in the emerging markets of Middle East & Asia. He is also avid blogger, speaker of technology & Industry trends in national & international forums.

65000+ hours of experience design, 140+ products, 400 master classes and 19 patents. Karthi is a Chief Product Officer in Xperian, an ecosystem for creative problem solvers. A technologist turned into a multidisciplinary product designer and design educator focused on human cognition and behaviors.Her work focuses on designing meaningful systems with an emphasis on experience design.
Before starting out into products world, Karthi designed printers for Hewlett Packard, Payment systems for State farm Insurance, Dashboards for World Bank, Pocket PC applications for Microsoft and many more. Karthi had a 7-year stint of entrepreneurship by running a premium design consulting agency called Oghma.
Karthi earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and a Masters in Human Computer Interaction from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and also an Executive MBA from Product Leadership. Desirability, Viability and Feasibility covered from the education perspective as well.

Data Visualization has proven to be a crucial tool for analyzing data and communicating insights, in an understandable manner, helping communicate cause and effect relationships to the masses.
As interactive visualizations increasingly reach every digital device, they have started to become the first validation step for data science projects.
In this talk, we will walk through ways to tell data stories by building upon the tenets of User-centered design and suggest design strategies for under-explored approaches to storytelling using web interactives.
This talk distills from the experiences of telling data stories at Gramener.

And that is why we all need design thinking. At every level in every kind of organization, design thinking provides the tools you need to become an innovative thinker and uncover creative opportunities that are there – you're just not seeing them yet.
The talk will provide an overview of design thinking and will help the listener understand design thinking as a problem-solving approach.
I will present some case studies from my work at Microsoft & IIT Bombay that used design thinking to uncover compelling solutions.

VUI, AI, AR and VR — these are the acronyms that are trending lists for 2018. As new technologies are introduced, their adoption rate is entirely dependent on the development of efficient, human-centric design. Imagine you wake up in the morning and ask Alexa to play your favorite podcast. Whether that be in your car, in your home or in your watch, building a VUI experience for each device will be challenging. VUI allows for hands free, efficient interactions that are more ‘human’ in nature than any other form of user interface and empathize minimal effort . We’re not in West-world just yet but it’s clear that robotic assistants are here to stay. With that in mind, it’s important to understand all the potential pitfalls and positive opportunities that come along with this newly popular technology.
