Overview of the event

We recently wrapped up 2019 as the year of digital quality. We talked about how digital transformation is going to bring even more drastic shifts in how we do software delivery. And how your organization needs to brace up to bring agile models to work in order to release higher quality software faster through automated testing.

A key trend that will sweep over to bring economies of scale, speed and intelligence will be automated testing followed by AI. We've seen a massive movement from manual to automation in the last couple of years, as manual could not handle this scale of change. Manual testing matrices are too big to approximate manually, take a long time, and are very complex to handle for applications like Uber, Snapchat, and Twitter that are scaling at the speed of light.

Manual testing might not be able to meet the demand of a plethora of web browsers, devices, operating systems, screen resolutions, and responsive designs. And to deliver quality at the speed of digital, there will be a need to bring in the right automated testing initiatives. But automation is vast and there are several nuances to it. Which nuances will be more pronounced in 2020?

Agile Testing and Test Automation Summit will help you get industry best practices in Test Automation and the latest tools and techniques to achieve it.

Agile Testing and Test Automation Summit, Singapore
X Topic Abstract

Efficiency of Agile Teams depend on various factors. Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) are the key aspects which can significantly improve it. In both TDD and BDD approaches, tests are written upfront before the actual code is written. Writing tests first helps predict the course of the development, which will ultimately prevent any cases being missed from the code or functionality. Prevention of bugs will be the main aim of these approaches, and these tests will also act as concrete documentation of what is planned to be achieved in terms of test coverage.

X Topic Abstract

DoD is a very powerful tool in the agile space. Many teams I have seen use it for sake of using it & showing all ticks under team assessments done by agile coaches. Looking at the root cause of What, Why & How to use it, I will share some of the common sense - real life experiences for delivering software releases faster, better & smarter. All the releases are never possible without TESTING so why & how testing plays an important role in the entire agile ecosystem.

X Topic Abstract

The ROI, effectiveness and productivity improvements on Test Automation will depend on how well Automation is integrated into a project. Unless there is a clear communication and handshaking process, Automation will continue to be in a separate silo. Regression tests must be automated so that it does not pile up, it is important to shift-left automation. The essence is to know what to share upfront by various stakeholders and how soon to integrate Automation into the development cycle. The talk will highlight how to create this magic and make it work.

But do they know that they are killing Mr. Jenkins? My talk will answer this question and introduce 3 levels of good practices to maintain a healthy, strong and long living Mr. Jenkins.

X Topic Abstract

Continuous Integration - To Feedback sooner, with the feedback a tester can identify and test the issues they have found, knowing they are coming from the last small integration. this will shift the process of QUALITY from testing by finding a needle in a haystack. .. how do we do this? Discussion at this point can move the Automation Tools to be integrated. To end with bring our focus back on Agile. What is the outcome of Agile? would be my question :)
