"Enhanced BDD Test integration with Azure Test Plan using AI and Software Tooling"

In a typical BDD style of software development, we document the test cases as a set of acceptance criteria written in Gherkin syntax in a feature file which are part of a code repository. Majority of these test cases are automated, but not all. A few manual test cases are written directly on the test management platform. But at times, because of resource or time constraints, we end up having coverage gaps. Also, as test cases can exist in different locations, how do we get a single view of all test cases for a platform or product with search and filter capability?

During test execution, new features are initially tested manually, and regression involves a mix of automated(majority) and manual tests. How do I get single view of my execution status for a release in a time series manner (as testing happens continuously)? Besides that, on multiple occasions, we have automated scripts fail and it is very time consuming to debug and identify the root cause which at many times leads to defect leakage. How do we make this monitoring faster and more efficient?

We would like to walk through our process and approach of solving these issues and the various tools we introduced to enhance the processes. These tools are a mix of AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, Python based NLP libraries) and standard tooling using Python.
