X Topic Abstract

Quality Assurance is at a point of inflexion and this is exciting times for QA professionals and the ecosystem of QA Service providers. The rule of game has changed. An array of advanced technologies - from AI, IoT, ML, DL, Cloud etc are reinventing how organisations can create value for their customers.

I spoke to CXO's from large enterprises, product vendors and industry bodies in Australia to understand challenges, learnings and strategies to manage QA in digital transformation

In this presentation I will discuss the key takeaways case how we perform this with Specflow and Selenium, and how the tests are structured with the rest of project solution and the benefits from this approach.

X Topic Abstract

You have heard about Selenium as a functional test automation tool, but have you ever seen it being used for monitoring that too of the non functional aspects of the servers? We have used Selenium to setup low cost monitoring of our on-prem servers to alert us about resource utilization.

X Topic Abstract

One challenge as we scale the size of teams and projects is maintenance of quality for every build delivery.

One typical solution would be to scale the number of testing resources and activities. Yet, this solution does not alleviate the delivery pressure. E.g. if a team member accidentally introduce blocking issues, this could stop testing activities for many precious hours / days, derailing the sprint deliveries as the result.

The solution we have introduced is via automated acceptance testing during development. As developers build new features, the solution is regularly regression tested end-to-end, highlighting any critical issues that should be addressed before they are passed to QA.

In this presentation, I will showcase how we perform this with Specflow and Selenium, and how the tests are structured with the rest of project solution and the benefits from this approach.
