X Topic Abstract

Tesla V100 GPU contains 640 Tensor Cores. Tensor Cores deliver up to 125 Tensor TFLOPS for training and inference applications. Automatic mixed-precision (AMP) is a way to take advantage of Tensor Cores high throughput computation in deep learning applications. AMP is supported in common deep learning frameworks like Pytorch and TensorFlow with NVIDIA's library. With two lines of code, you can enable AMP to accelerate your existing deep learning model training by 3x on average without loss of accuracy. AMP handles the model half-precision conversion, automatically loss scaling and master weight updating automatically under the hood. With a smaller memory footprint, you can train larger models with larger batch sizes. AMP is a popular technology that has been widely adopted in the deep learning community."

X Topic Abstract

I will be talking about a few automation test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines and reporting tools integrate within the Agile process.

Speaker Profile

I am currently a Senior QA Test Automation and Devops Engineer for 10 years and developer previously for another 10 years. I am currently working at IBM Watson Health Imaging. I lead the Test Automation efforts for the “Advisor” products, Breast, Liver, and Prostate, and help these teams in regard to Devops. These products use AI algorithms to detect and identify cancer.

My philosophy is “Design, Develop / Test, and Fail Fast, repeat”. Using the Agile method and the CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) enables this philosophy. It is not only helpful to creating a successful product, but creates a culture in the Agile squads across the many offerings at IBM Watson Health. This culture relies on the team to create an emotional safety among teams and individuals. This formula makes the most of teams efforts and abilities for highly successful projects and enables a feeling of happiness and enjoyment during day to day work.

X Topic Abstract

Automated tests need to be designed so that they are resilient to change if they are going to be of use in an agile environment where the target application is constantly changing and there is little time to spend on test maintenance.

Description:

Building automated tests that are reliable and resistant to change is no easy endeavor. Anyone who has tried over the long haul knows this. I've been on all sides of the test automation problem, as a test tool user, an automated testing consultant and as test tool developer. With over 30 years of experience in the field, I have accumulated a lot of techniques and examples to share that will help participants deal with common automation problems such as timing, latency and rapid pace of application change. The presentation includes discussion of the following: Choosing the right tests to automate, Using object definitions, Building reusable steps, Designing tests that are smaller in scope, Implementing retry loops, Generating expected results at runtime and Building startup and recovery into the test framework.

X Topic Abstract

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is known to be highly effective in automating rule-based processes that make use of structured content, but there is also a significant opportunity for processes that rely on unstructured content (e.g., free text, images). Employing RPA in conjunction with "content intelligence" capabilities makes it possible to extract meaningful information from unstructured content and guide more complex automation decisions. This talk will cover applications that benefit from adding content intelligence to RPA, as well as various techniques for incorporating content intelligence (e.g., advanced OCR/ICR, text analytics)

X Topic Abstract

The financial markets are always complex, volatile and unstable which forbids the accurate prediction of future prices. Moreover, financial markets produce large volumes of data at high frequency during each day. The presence of anomalies in voluminous data from multiple data sources may generate catastrophic decisions in market behavior. We propose a Deep Reinforcement Learning technique for detecting anomalies present in the historical daily trading information.

X Topic Abstract

How many of us are running masses of testing, consuming resources and generating mountains of data? Are we actually extracting insightful risk insight for decision makers? Can we agree that the approach should change, dramatically?

In this talk Amir Rozenberg, AVP product at SauceLabs, will offer a different view of continuous testing. We’ll discuss ongoing evaluation of what really needs to be tested and when. We’ll then discuss growing a sustainable, lean test suites that are modular, scalable and produce predictable outcomes. Last, what are the key elements that would reflect the risk insight that your decision makers need.

X Topic Abstract

This session will explore the realities faced in Robot Process Automation (RPA) from an experience-based perspective. The underlying dynamics of people driven issues and business processes are often overlooked due to bias and focus on the 'glamor' of the technology. While RPA is a valid discipline, the lessons from the successes and failures in past technology-driven automation strategies need to be understood and incorporated in successful RPA. "What's old is new again
