Overview of the event

DevOps is much more than just local improvement in the development, delivery and operation of software: it represents a movement thattouches development and operations (obviously!), but organizational culture, quality assurance, security, and program management.

Automation, Agile processes, micro services, continuous delivery, container and cloud technologies are essential to the current high performance IT transformation.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning and AI provide immense opportunity in Data and Process Analytics for optimum outcomes.

New business models presented by Block chain are further increasing the opportunities for enterprise to create / manage disruptions.

The DevOps Enterprise Automation Conference will feature insightful talks and solution based discussions that will help to understand the concept of DevOps, associated benefits, scrutinize implementation challenges and their solutions.

X Topic Abstract

With the change in the pace of IT development, it is imperative for organizations to change the way software has been built over the years – they will have to revisit the very traditional way of constructing and delivering software to remain competitive in the market place. The organizations need to think fast and move fast to embrace business, technology, process and cultural changes.
As software development progresses from project-based delivery to the continuous iteration and evolution, it is crucial for organizations to streamline IT and look for synergies.
Reduced time to market, minimum downtime, lesser defects and a higher level of operational efficiency can be achieved by uniting development, operations and business teams.
DevOps brings business teams, developers and operations folks together, improving collaboration between teams and creating an automated continuous software development and deployment process.
But this is easier said than done.
For successful DevOps transformations, Organizations will have to evaluate traditional roles and break down barriers between teams and departments. They will have to align organizational structure to facilitate collaboration. The agile and collaborating teams take the place of ‘silos’.
Gartner estimates that when companies try to drive a DevOps initiative without embracing a cultural shift, they are bound to fail 90 percent of the time. To make DevOps work, development and operations teams must be willing to change and adopt cultural and behavioral patterns to march together on this journey.
To be successful onto this roller coaster ride, a major ‘cultural shift’ paves the way to build truly agile organizations.
Companies must establish and support a continuous learning and improvement mindset. Teams need to be encouraged to adopt ‘trail and experiment’ approach and failures should be treated as part of progress and growth.
DevOps culture empowers teams to achieve their ‘common’ goal and assures success in overcoming volatile business and technology landscape.

X Topic Abstract

Two trends that are relevant in the enterprise off-late are MicroServices and DevOps. Both of these practices are designed to offer greater speed and efficiency for an enterprise. A misconception that is a topic of hot debate is that DevOps for Microservices is complicated, however, if designed correctly, both can provide product development teams greater speed and agility.
Key things that will be covered in the session are
1. Introduction to MicroServices
2. Why use Micro-services?
3. The challenges in building a DevOps pipeline for Micro-services.
4. A possible solution
5. A reference approach to enable CI/CD for Microservices.

X Topic Abstract

TAs the enterprise applications are getting complex and need to handle transaction in the order of millions, it is a essential for the application to scale. Microservices is one of the solution to scale enterprise application. In microservices architecture, the traditional monolithic application will be split into several microservices which either can be deployed in a container / docker / VM. The microservices architecture allows to scale the application vertically in both business and technical aspects.
However, successful deployment of several microservices are extremley complex. To cope with these deployment challenges, CI/CD is imminent to deploy the various microservices from dev enviroment to production. This session is about how to use CI/CD approach for deploying the microservices.
> Introduction to microservices architecture and its benefits
> Challenges of microservices architecture (interms of CI/CD)
> CI/CD in monolithic applications
> Tackling the challenges of microservices architecture
> Complete pipeline example in dev, test & production
> Service Meshes
> Conclusion

X Topic Abstract

Datacenter Insights (or Metrics) and DevOps are two keywords that is driving the future datacenter environments. Insights are primarily metrics and key performance indicators that enable an IT Administrator or a CIO to be able to measure the performance of hardware (and software) in the datacenter. On the other hand DevOps Automation enables the IT Administrators to simplify and automate repeatable tasks in the datacenter, to improve the IT Service delivery times. IT Administrator currently use significant amount of information in deployment by manually editing the inputs to DevOps Automation scripts, while Datacenter Insights are not necessarily leveraged to make effective actions in datacenter. In this talk, we will go through scenarios how the Datacenter Insights when packaged with DevOps Automation drives better efficiencies in datacenter and can be used to provide optimal and lean datacenter with optimized TCO.
When the Datacenter Insights is used to drive the DevOps Automation, it would help increase the datacenter efficiency through consolidation of resources, improve best usage of resources by optimally picking the near-exact server configuration, achieving the best hardware performance by applying the best configuration on the server, reduce mean time to recovery by associating recovery actions to the insight events and bring about best practices in the datacenter through real time Insight monitoring. When DevOps Automation can be used as inputs into the Datacenter Insights – providing significant contextual information to tune and better the insights derivation, which enables better understanding of the environment.
